Day 91 - How to Dream a True Dream

Image
And we have learnt to dream from our parents. Dreams come in so many shapes and sizes and range from the fantastical all the way through to the survival, from the bizarre to those that are shaped by society. But the dreams that make the difference are those that reach out of our ordinary lives . . . and each person has their own kind of ordinary . . . and into the realms of inspiration. Some ordinary dreams are a by-product of society, culture, world consensus and self image . . . these are not the kind that matter in the big scheme of things. Those dreams are born, and some live to be experienced and some don’t, and then they die after some time. Some of those dreams are fed by their human creator and they die when they are no longer given the energy that they need. Some of those ordinary dreams make other dreams come true, and some turn out to be nightmares or not what was expected. However, there is a particular wisdom to dreams, one that cannot be ignored if our dreams...

Our Spectrum of Uniqueness

Image
Life is not held within concrete . . .  . . . and therefore, humans are not held within concrete either. We are not static and unchanging but moving and evolving, and as we make these daily adjustments, we encounter others mirroring our movements.   We could call this a scale, range or a spectrum of uniqueness’ that allows each of us to be an expression of what we each have dreamt, or are dreaming for ourselves. We are all aware of the expressions of the diabolical, whose intent is to cause harm for purely selfish reasons, with no regards to others. These expressions are experienced in people around us in our own families, work environment, amongst friends and in the world around us, and we either have the resilience to remain within our own ray of uniqueness - in their presence - or we do not. They have no remorse. Upon this moving scale are those that are not necessarily intent upon taking regardless of impact, but they are taking. They do not intend to harm but ...

Day 93 - Glows, Just A Little While Longer

Image
Staying in our bodies is proving difficult indeed! It is that internal urge to vacate something that does not feel like home anymore, and it can be overwhelming. As we look around and gaze into the various jars filled the various assorted delicacies of this world, we see the corruption and integrity of the ingredients breaking down one by one. Those that once held delicious candies of entertainment, strength of purpose and a jolly good helping of fun, all rotten to the core. Greebly worms creep out of the jars that have been opened and exposed, and inch their way to a new pasture to feed upon. Some don't escape and are trodden on and some escape, but the jars . . . they stand mocking us as we look in and cannot enter anymore. Nothing tastes good or feels good and our hands don't want to reach in anymore; into movie jars, media jars, news jars and food jars - they have Grotty worms crawling through them. The love jars are corrupted with agendas and taking . . . using . . . tak...

My World - Repaired or Left Behind?

Image
I look around me and I see the broken shards of a shattered mirror!  A face that once pretended, to be beautiful and perfect on the surface has now splintered into a million pieces, leaving an empty frame. The pieces of the past lie broken, an enigma of reality because of the choice I have to make. We are told to pick up the pieces of our lives and put them back together, but it does not feel right. I don’t want those memories and those pieces! I want something new and undiscovered! I want to walk through that frame and see what is on the other side. I want to know what I have been looking into all the days of my life, but not seeing because of the reflection that came between me and what lies beyond. I can no longer see myself through my own eyes in the reflected surface of fake images; my faith, those I looked up to, my sources of information, and my blind beliefs . . . They were held together by one common unity, a collective one, and I followed even when it seemed wrong...

How Do We Measure Our Future?

Image
Peace. Why peace? We have to measure our future from a solid and reliable starting point, and so peace was chosen as a stable and reliable place to begin.  What else? It is strategic and not just a platitude . . . and its about trajectory too. When you leave a point, if it is not pure, slight degrees of impurity begin to alter direction and in the end, you are nowhere you ever wanted to be! Is it not stated that peace transcends all understanding ? What does that mean precisely? It means that as far as lofty aspirations go, the experience of true peace extends far beyond normal the average ideas around it. It means that it is not related to war . . . not as an opposite . . . and not as a nice phrase to be bandied about in forums or used to sedate human beings. It is not the peace that is attached tagged onto titles and committees like as a mask hiding true agendas. Not that peace. TI’m referring to the kind of peace that stops the world, and then rattles it to shake ou...

Day 94 - Remembering . . . Go There!

Image
Remembering . . . Go There! It is time to remember! But take nothing for granted. This remembering does not come from the past, nor is it from the memories of a forgotten youth or the musings of bygone eras. This is something else entirely! Faint echoes of its existence lie dormant in the sunny terrains of your multi-layered existence. You are more than one - within one. This remembering was taught a long, long time ago when even the great masters found it necessary to face themselves. They felt as though they had been pulled apart and had lost themselves to something that did not have a name or a face. There are times you feel disenfranchised and somehow cast adrift and tossed around upon a tempestuous ocean that does not know the meaning of temperance. At other times, although you know you are important to someone or something, you might feel like you are missing a limb or that you have been discarded. Unsure even that you matter to the universe, you cannot place your...

. . . Now What?

Image
Now What?  The world has changed . . . . . . it is not going back to what it once was. Too much water has flowed under the bridge, and too much has been said. Too much has been believed and too much learnt . . . and there are too many logs still to be removed from peoples’ eyes. Is a new ‘normal’ even possible whilst turmoil washes through the channels of thought, and voices sling mud at a bewildered nation? Impacted is the first word that comes to mind, and with impact comefeelings of regret, grief, and loss. These emotions leave us tongue-tied, flinching continually at words and actions that feed our sense of an impending destiny over which we have no control. What happened? Where did my world go and what happened to its people? How did everything change so suddenly and become a tsunami of information, exposures, and choices that I never imagined I would have to face? What am I to do with the barrage of information that assaults my senses and causes my world to turn upside down?W...
