Day 94 - Remembering . . . Go There!
Remembering . . . Go There!
It is time to remember!
But take nothing for granted.
This remembering does not come from the past, nor is it from the memories of a forgotten youth or the musings of bygone eras. This is something else entirely! Faint echoes of its existence lie dormant in the sunny terrains of your multi-layered existence.
You are more than one - within one.
This remembering was taught a long, long time ago when even the great masters found it necessary to face themselves. They felt as though they had been pulled apart and had lost themselves to something that did not have a name or a face.
There are times you feel disenfranchised and somehow cast adrift and tossed around upon a tempestuous ocean that does not know the meaning of temperance. At other times, although you know you are important to someone or something, you might feel like you are missing a limb or that you have been discarded. Unsure even that you matter to the universe, you cannot place yourself within a body of hope and inspiration enough to feel alive and needed again.
When we feel like we belong nowhere, and we have nowhere to go . . . it is time to remember.
There is no past to hold onto, and even if it were possible, the past is merely a collection of memories that can never be lived again, that can only be copied imperfectly and have an expiry date. The first time anything is experienced is the most precious moment captured by consciousness.
The time to remember once again is awareness; we bring ourselves back into the fold, into alignment, and in sync with our true purpose.
We have to remember who we are.
Not what we have been . . .
. . . who we are becoming.
That kind of remembering!
This awareness has been lying dormant in the recesses of your consciousness; all that was needed . . . was for you to fall apart, to be dismembered, to release what you have been. Then you are exactly where you need to be because just like a caterpillar turns into an unrecognisable goo, the remembering is of the butterfly that wants to be known. Sometimes it is so difficult to surrender the worm you have become because life is slow, low, and easy. But there is something within each person that wants to be remembered.
No one is exempt.
The second most difficult time is being nothing . . . being dismembered and feeling powerless as unconscious changes move you and reconstitute you. You feel like you don't belong anywhere because - you, the caterpillar - are gone. You barely have the faint echoes of that life to hold onto, and - you, the butterfly - have not yet become.
The last most challenging experience to overcome is when you need to trust your new wings. Then you remember! You were born to have that bird's eye view! If you feel frightened because you have not tested them yet, you just have remember that your wings work. Just a moment of courage is all it takes.
Your ability to soar is not dependent upon whether your metaphoric wings work or not . . . it is solely dependent upon your self-trust and confidence. This is the moment you truly look at yourself through your own eyes. This is the moment you will come face to face with your mirror of self.
There is no fault in the design. It is not your design, and it is perfect. The layers of who you are have considered everything. . . and the last few steps are yours. Even though the dismembering began without you realising it, you must take ownership. The place where you had no control or felt powerless . . . was flawless. But when you find yourself stretching those wings . . . and you will . . . that is your moment!
You will have all the power and control that you need, but first . . .
. . . the remembering.
Remember who you are.
You were dreamt into being.
