Day 91 - How to Dream a True Dream

And we have learnt to dream from our parents.

Dreams come in so many shapes and sizes and range from the fantastical all the way through to the survival, from the bizarre to those that are shaped by society. But the dreams that make the difference are those that reach out of our ordinary lives . . . and each person has their own kind of ordinary . . . and into the realms of inspiration.

Some ordinary dreams are a by-product of society, culture, world consensus and self image . . . these are not the kind that matter in the big scheme of things. Those dreams are born, and some live to be experienced and some don’t, and then they die after some time. Some of those dreams are fed by their human creator and they die when they are no longer given the energy that they need. Some of those ordinary dreams make other dreams come true, and some turn out to be nightmares or not what was expected.

However, there is a particular wisdom to dreams, one that cannot be ignored if our dreams are to be birthed and continue to thrive way after we do . . . especially if they no longer need us.

Those ordinary dreams of love, success, achieving, acceptance, support, and prosperity all need energy and attention. Whilst they are forming, they continue to grow if they are given attention, and that attention happens in the solitude of imagination. When our dreams are alone with us and the world is quiet, the feelings that we derive from the creation of those dreams are part of the journey and necessary to bring them into manifestation.

It is little wonder that many dreams never appear to come true, with the doubting and diminishing internal talk, always eating away at them. One moment we are feeding them with excitement and the slow ember of focused fulfillment and the next, we throw acid on them with our doubts, and our attention is suddenly drawn away to some superfluous matter. It costs nothing to feed a dream with positive and nourishing thoughts . . . except for time . . . and by the time the dream has enough energy to survive this reality, it is determined to manifest. All the worries of how to make it come true physically, financially and practically – disappear and it all falls into place!

The dream whose time has come – will bring with it all the actions that we have to take to prepare the way – but the means or the ‘how’ are taken care of by the momentum of the dream itself.

You cannot stop a dream that is about to make its appearance, you just have to step back and watch it happen. Along the way, some dreams require you to take certain steps and you will know when that needs to happen and what you have to do, but you have to trust your dream! Your dream will gain momentum when you have no doubt whatsoever.

We dream for ourselves, so that we may experience feelings and the appearance of our imagination into this 3D reality. It is a grand design of showing each of us that we are creators and that we can matter. We can matter by calling a dream into matter – into manifestation.

Who else will dream our dreams?

Who else will make our lives worth it?
