Day 97 - Get Rooted!
Get Rooted!
- Quickly -
Whether it is by deliberate design or as a product of a civilization struck a couple of
degrees from it’s evolutionary trajectory, humans’ beings now find themselves
lifted off from their foundations. No longer rooted in the goodness of ancient
ways, natural wisdom and the laughter of making mistakes, they struggle to make
sense of what they are. They are dis-enfranchised, disorientated,
disassociated, dissonant and dismayed, and all because their connection to the substance
of life is missing. Once connected from the heavens or the sky, to the ground
beneath their feet, they were held by a singular line of electromagnetic energy
right through the heart centre. A line of pure and powerful connection, giving
them every reason to be on earth . . . and to be ecstatic.
Held . . . powerfully, they never questioned their Source, their perfection, and
their ability to know what true north was to them.
That may be the start of their story and they may already have digested the middle
part, but there is an ending that brings this back to the beginning.
The question is not ‘am I uprooted’ it israther a matter of perspective for the question should be ‘now that I know I am uprooted, what can I do about it?’ The journey from being connected and feeling at home, to being abandoned and homeless, is a long one and comes with a train load of history.
It also comes with forgetfulness, struggle, disorientation and feeling as if the ground was swept out from under our feet from the beginning.
Humans should feel like a tree does, secure, safe and planted exactly where the best
conditions for that type of entity are. Not wandering from this place to that,
running from this space to that, all in the hopes of finding somewhere to feel
a sense of belonging. A Diaspora of beliefs, all seeking to find somewhere to
plant themselves in the rich soil of a garden . . . welcoming and offering them
the chance to restore, and return to the pristine conditions of a new
beginning.
What have we become?
Divided . . .
Perhaps separated . . .
. . . From our roots and from our natural communal stream of wisdom.
A tree’s roots were never meant to be up in the air . . . their natural element is earth and for good reason. Earth means ‘home.’
The capacity for any tree to reach as far, as high and as deeply as it requires,
lies in its root system. It’s in the roots that the tree knows what it is to
become in its natural full glory. The seed or nut holds the blueprint and from
that point it bursts into the light, but the roots . . . they carry the giant!
No true giant of wisdom ever lived that did not have a root system that matched it. The struggle for the seed to break through the soil and into the sunlight ignites an invisible capacity to overcome all struggle and all limitations that it will encounter . . . as it grows as high as it dreams.
And we wonder why our culture and humanity as a whole are not becoming true giants?
And we wonder why invasive species’ have taken over our giants and consumed them?
Just like a parasitical vine, using and consuming a curtain fig tree, not all that reach for the sun
are natural giants.
Nature speaks volumes if only knew how to read it and learn from it.
