Unable to walk past without asking the girl if she needed help, Joy stopped. 'Can I help?' Joy asked. The girl sobbed and Joy could see that her knees were scuffed and grazed. 'Please could you pick me up?' stammered the girl. Joy leaned over to give the girl a helping hand and she stood up. 'Thank you!' she exclaimed, feeling better already. Seeing that the girl was on her feet and able to continue, Joy left on her merry way and disappeared down the path.
