A-Con-On-Me (economy)
A CON ON ME (economy)
Is there anymore to say?
There is no bone in my body that is political or economical, except for shopping at the grocer, but I have noticed that some wires have gotten mixed up somewhere.
I always imagined that a good Leader was someone with the following characteristics:
- Guiding or advising a group of people towards prosperity and upward growth.
- Taking a stance and making a difference even if it made you unpopular.
- Choosing the health of a nation over internal politics.
- Bringing good ol' fashioned values, amongst which lies honesty and sincerity.
- Being of a strong spirit and courageous in tough times.
- Strong enough to take a blow but humble enough to ask for help.
- Resolute in matters that count and flexible in others.
- Born with a backbone or at least taught how to have one.
- And looking after life itself.
Where have they gone?
It amazes me when I catch a peek at a newspaper or listen to presenters or hear politicians speak, because every word either has a hidden agenda or carries implied sacrifice. Not a sacrifice which the economical giants carry but a sacrifice which the people must bear. Each seemingly grand gesture, or big move, or monumental decision comes back to a payment plan which falls to the people . . . everyday people.
Accountability is mysterious - the power contained in such a word - such a state - is life changing. The deep waters that allow such a state, are waters that few want to walk into.
Very few it seems . . .
It means to accept responsibility, to walk into the deep waters, taking every thought and decision with you and intending on exiting with a force that lifts a nation!
Not, dipping the toe in for show and then turning to everyone else and making them carry the responsibility.
A con on me - is a royal bank commission, where every cent spent in the legalities of the decision is extracted from the very people, who were mistreated in the first place. Which CEO is going to walk into that water, neck high and own the errors, the lives that it impacted and emerge with the clarity to lift the nation?
Before the bank commission . . . the people paid dearly.
After the bank commission . . . the people paid dearly.
Perhaps the days of the giants amongst men is past . . . it is now in the hands of a soulless economy?

ReplyDeleteI wonder... Across the globe, around the world, leaders all, political economic religious, live without accountability. They are free from the impact of their decisions, except when it benefits them. How is this tolerated? It seems as if it is a deep spiritual imbalance, almost impossible.
ReplyDeleteThe answer I get from my reality is that it arises from the desire of those who bear the brunt of accountability, the 'people' mentioned above. They desire so much to live free of responsibility and repercussions for their actions that they will elevate those who can into the highest levels of power.
Correct - Even the people mentioned above are accountable until they ask others to make decisions for them . . . and still they are accountable for the abdication.
